Hello! It’s the first official day of spring!! Time seems to have flown for us since Christmas and here we are now in what seems like no time at all!

February has come and gone with our first Valentine’s Day in the middle of it. We really enjoyed meeting lots of new customers, some of which didn’t know we existed until they came to order their valentine’s blooms, as well as seeing lots of familiar faces returning for a bouquet to send to their sweetheart. Here’s a picture from a happy lady receiving her blooms.

We have had lots of positive feedback – including this picture of a bouquet still going strong two weeks later!

If you have any feedback (and maybe photos) of your flowers, we’d love for you to let us know. Why not leave us a review on Google or Facebook?

Well February is now behind us so what’s to come looking forward… or should we say upstairs? Many of you have seen we have been doing some decorating in the Flower Bank in order to open our upstairs space to you since the new year and we are pleased to say we are nearly there! We have had the help of several local businesses (Chris Brand and Paul Rossall – Builders, Mike Baron – MBB Electrical and Mark Campbell – Property and Garden Services) to achieve this dream and we can not recommend their craftsmanship more.

We have ideas for involving you buzzing around our heads: formal courses ran by guest florists, informal workshops, birthday parties, flowers and fizz, flowers and a cuppa… the ideas just keep coming. We would love the hear any ideas that you have too. If you are passing the shop or the Hornby Institute, please write your details on our sign up sheet and tick any of the suggestions that you would like to see. There’s also space for you to add any suggestions you have as we’d love to hear your ideas too.

As well as opportunities for you to visit Upstairs, we will be using the extra space so we can offer a balloon service, which is going to be known as Balloon Bank. We are able to offer all kinds of balloons ranging from a single latex balloon all the way up a spiral balloon column – a super addition to any gift or special occasion. Here’s a picture we were sent from the Tea Rooms of a birthday balloon we did for them.

Well that’s all from us for now. Watch this space for our upcoming Mother’s Day ideas and gift inspiration.

Love Vicky and Charlotte xx

It would be lovely to have a class just before Mother’s Day, so that I could take home a gift (which I’ve made) for my Mum!

Love all your ideas for workshops – it would be lovely to see wreath making workshops – not just for Christmas but maybe to reflect the four seasons? Just a thought!
